This was a satisfying job, I rebuilt the face of an understairs cupboard so that access to the boiler for servicing is easier and reaching the right hand side is better, putting the vacuum away is also much simpler as the hose doesn’t need to be jiggled in. The house has more modern doors I fitted last year so this old cupboard door was not in keeping anymore. This took the best part of a day to get to the paint primer stage, although I had to nip out for the school runs.
It’s all mdf with cabinet hinges, I also lined the sides to hide the rough timbers, the sill is lower than the previous one which also helps access. The oak skirting will be put back on the sides once the painting is complete.
