I believe in transparency, you want to budget for some work and I don’t want to give you any unpleasant surprises. But some jobs are hard to calculate in advance, so here’s an outline:

 

Rates

I charge £45 for the first hour and then £35 for each consecutive hour.

If you have a very small job and I’m close by I will of course endeavour to charge a fair price, eg a portion of the first hour.

I invoice for my time at the end of the project unless it’s taking a few weeks, then I will send you interim invoices so we keep up-to-date.

I may ask you to pay for the materials before we start if there is a lot of them or they are expensive, for example: the pavers on your patio (which are yours and get delivered to your address not mine).

I may need your email address to send you your invoice and I will need payment the same day.

Payment

I accept bank transfers and cash.

I’m not currently accepting cheques as my high-street Coop bank has vanished.

I am investigating a suitable mobile card payment system, but for the moment assume it’s not in place.
