For this project the customer wanted to partition off part of a long open living room so that they had an office too. We discussed various solutions and they settled on pocket doors so that they wouldn’t have to deal with the swing space around furniture.
As you can see the system we went for came with the steel wall panels to create the pockets, once they are built (which was very simple) you construct the top panel from timber to the height required which is also key to giving the walls their strength, then the whole lot is plasterboarded and trimmed with skirting and the supplied architrave.
The doors are supplied separately and only need trimming to height to suite the floor type, they are easily adjusted for perfect alignment and we also opted for the soft close/open feature as the doors were heavy with glass.
