Today I was called out to repair a garage roof, the felt was over 15 years old and had been repaired a few times but had finally been beaten by the weather – probably this summer’s extreme sun had caused more expansion and contraction than usual.
The photos below show some of the cracks and a few stages of the repair, you’ll note I have again used a second polythene membrane beneath the felt to help protect the roof should the felt fail for some reason.
