This Old Town garden needed some love, the old patio was a tired mix of different paths and sections, the base was good though. An increase in the side borders was suggested by the gardener, so I took that opportunity to investigate the base for suitability to just lay the new surface over the old one.
Kandala Grey Sandstone was chosen as it complemented the plastic decking and garden furniture (supplied by Avivastone.com), I managed to dig the borders so that when I laid the pavers I didn’t need to cut that many, plus the symmetry of the joints lined up perfectly with the steps.
